As the name suggests, the pencil skirt is a very slim-fitting, tight, straight skirt. With the classic pencil skirt, the hem typically hit the middle of the knee or just below. But as fashion goes, we see many women wearing extremely short versions of this skirt. The longer the hem, the more restrictive the skirt is for walking and getting in and out of cars. Frequently, you find either a slit, kick pleat or godet inserted into the center back seam to offer ease of movement. This design can be used in various ways and will prove to be a great return on investment.
